When using the solve command you must specify the unknown variable. In

this case the unknown variable is x.

The general format to use the solve command would be solve(equation,

variable). Notice that both , and = can be found in two locations: hard

keys and keyboard.

The calculator will solve for any variable so long as it is properly deﬁned.
